Tim Whiting Tim founded Timothy James & Partners in December 1995 and is the firm's Managing Director. In 2002 he was nominated by Who's Who for Young Entrepreneur of the Year. Tim also holds the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, which is a QCF level 4 qualification.

Tim has 440 clients and has looked after many of them for more than 20 years. Whilst Tim is experienced to provide advice on all general financial planning matters, his specialist areas are in investment and corporate financial planning.
ANDY BRACKEN
DipPFS Financial Adviser

Andy Bracken Andy has been at Timothy James & Partners since 1997, becoming a shareholder in 1998. He previously worked as a private secretary at the Ministry Of Agriculture, before moving on to Financial Services, focussing in Pensions and Investments.

Andy's specialism still lies in pensions, but he deals with all aspects of financial planning work for his diverse client base. He has a strong connection to authors and music industry figures, as well as barristers and the legal profession.
ANTHONY FOWLER
MCSI Financial Adviser

Anthony Fowler Anthony joined Timothy James & Partners in 2011 after spending 4 years at Knight Frank in their Finance department. The majority of his experience was geared around advising HNW individuals on investment and development finance, as well as arranging commercial and residential mortgages. Previously, he worked at a London mortgage brokerage for 5 years after graduating with a degree in History from the University of Wales.

Anthony now looks after a wide host of clients ranging from City executives to those in the entertainment and media industry, providing all aspects of financial planning and investment advice. He is a Chartered Wealth Manager (MCSI) and is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment since 2011 after passing the Private Client Investment Management and Advice qualification, as well as the Investment Management Certificate.

Chris Bryans Chris joined Timothy James & Partners as a Board Director in 2005 when the firm acquired CW Financial Consultants, which he set up and ran in conjunction with Citroen Wells, Chartered Accountants, from 1990.

Chris started his training as a Chartered Accountant, but his interest in tax and trust planning took him in a different direction as he started his IFA career with the Royal Trust Bank in 1983. He attained the CII Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning soon after its introduction in 1995.

Chris and his team now look after many clients from all walks of life in practically every aspect of personal and corporate financial planning.
DAWN BUCKLAND
Director

Dawn Buckland Dawn was an adviser for the wealth management arm of BDO Stoy Hayward prior to joining Timothy James & Partners in September 2004. She has practical experience in a wide range of sophisticated financial planning vehicles and has particular interest in pensions planning - the more complicated the better.

Dawn brings many experiences to her role, including the key communication skills gained during 5 years in public relations and the management skills derived from being a working mother of two.

Philip Steer Philip joined Timothy James & Partners in 2005 following the takeover of CW Financial Consultants Ltd. Philip's career began with Canada Life in 1998, where he gained extensive knowledge and practical experience of financial planning.

Philip holds the Chartered Financial Planner title, the highest industry qualification awarded by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). Philip advises clients on all aspects of financial planning, including pensions, investments, protection and tax planning, as well as residential (including equity release) and commercial mortgages.
ROBERT GUY
DipPFS Financial Adviser

Robert Guy Robert became a financial adviser in 1987, having previously been Technical Director for John Charcol Ltd. He joined Timothy James & Partners in 2002, and he was voted by personal finance journalists to be the Media Services IFA of the year.

Robert holds the advanced planning and pensions qualifications. He specialises in giving advice to clients approaching retirement - with particular emphasis on advising how to maintain living standards after leaving work, and how to effectively convert pensions, investments and savings to achieve a sustainable income.

DipPFS Financial Adviser

Simon Hollyhomes Simon joined Timothy James & Partners in 2005 and worked alongside Tim Whiting for a number of years. Having attained numerous qualifications in Retirement Planning, Investment & Risk, Equity Release, Personal Taxation and Trusts, Simon achieved his Diploma in April 2009. Simon was awarded a degree in Economics from the University of Wales in 2003.

Simon looks after clients from many professions, including law, entertainment, film and theatre. Simon covers all aspects of financial planning and continues to make progress towards achieving Chartered status.
JENNY RAWDON
Support Consultant

Jenny Rawdon Jenny joined Timothy James & Partners in 2006 after working in Insurance for 3 years.  Jenny is a Support Consultant working alongside Dawn Buckland and Anthony Fowler and is also a member of the Pension Specialist team at Timothy James & Partners. She has a wealth of experience and has a keen interest in pensions, passing the AF3 Pensions exam in 2016. In 2012 Jenny completed her Diploma in Financial Planning and is now making progress towards her Advanced Diploma which she expects to complete by the end of 2018.

Angela Jarvis Angela joined Timothy James & Partners in 2005, having previously worked at CW Financial Consultants since 2004. Angela has over 13 years’ experience in financial services and she holds the Chartered Financial Planner qualification, the highest industry qualification awarded by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), and is a Fellow of the Personal Financial Society.

Angela provides companywide technical support whilst maintaining focus on delivering individual financial solutions to her clients.

Christophe Beaupain Christophe joined Timothy James & Partners in 2010 and has been working in Financial Services since 2003 having graduated from the University of Nottingham.

Christophe has extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of financial planning including investments, pensions, tax planning, protection, mortgages and equity release. He has attained many industry qualifications and currently holds the Diploma in Financial Planning. He is now working with Tim Whiting looking after a wide range of clients from Law and Media to self-employed entrepreneurs.
DAVID STEAD
Financial Adviser

David Stead David joined Timothy James & Partners in January 2016 after 5 years at a large American investment management firm. Having been on the sales and, latterly, the portfolio analyst desks at Fisher Investments he brings a wealth of experience in equity and fixed income investment. With a strong emphasis on advising clients on their overall financial picture and, specifically, the asset allocation of their portfolio David is well placed to help a range of clients from their first foray into the investment world right up to HNW clients looking to maximise returns or save for retirement.

David holds the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, Certificates in Mortgages Advice and Equity Release, and is a member of the Personal Finance Society.
JESSICA AYRES
APFS Financial Adviser

Jessica Ayres Jessica joined Timothy James & Partners in 2004, from Aegon Scottish Equitable Top 100 Accounts Team. She now advises her own clients who need a wide range of advice on personal and business financial planning and those wanting to plan an exit strategy and target an inflation proofed retirement income.

Jessica particularly enjoys working closely with clients needing a ‘financial overhaul’; assessing pensions, investments and ensuring an effective long-term financial strategy is in place. This includes clients who have had a change-in-life event such as divorce or a change in career.

Jessica has built up extensive contacts with business professionals to which her clients have access to help them meet their objectives. Jessica holds the Chartered Financial Planner qualification, the highest industry qualification awarded by the CII.
MATTHEW BROWN
Finance Executive

Matthew Brown Matt joined Timothy James & Partners in 2008 having been awarded a Business Science degree in Business Information Systems from the University of Hertfordshire.  He currently provides a broad level of technical support for Philip Steer and David Stead in order for them to formulate their advice. He acts as a main point of contact for clients and introducers alike and is heavily involved in producing reports, research and the overall management of the team.

He has achieved his Diploma in Financial Planning and Mortgage Advice, with a particular interest in investment analysis and portfolio construction.  He is now studying towards his Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning in addition to qualifications in Equity Release and Long Term Care.

Paul Kippin Paul joined Timothy James & Partners in 2005 having previously worked at CW Financial Consultants since 2002. Paul's financial services career began in 1997 with Friends Provident before joining Watson Wyatt where he gained practical experience in pensions, one of the areas in which he now specialises.

Paul holds the Chartered Financial Planner qualification, the highest industry qualification awarded by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), and is a Fellow of the Personal Financial Society. His specific skills are currently aimed at investment as well as pre and post-retirement planning.

Head of Residential Finance

Danielle Panteli Danielle joined Timothy James & Partners in March 2002, having previously worked on the other side of the fence for the Halifax in their Intermediary Mortgage Centre. Danielle has over 18 years experience in the mortgage industry and has built up an extensive amount of contacts with various lenders and professionals during this time which enables her to assist our clients with their differing loan requirements.  Danielle has a good knowledge of lending solutions for self-employed/business owners.

Chris Heath Chris joined the mortgage department at Timothy James & Partners in 2010. He started his career as a specialist loans underwriter for Nationwide Building Society for 3 years, before briefly diversifying into medical underwriting. During his time on the mortgage desk Chris facilitated complex mortgage transactions based on his extensive knowledge of the lending market.

Since 2016 Chris has been overseeing advice to new and existing clients of the business in all manners of financing requirements.Chris holds the Certificates in Advanced Mortgage Advice and Equity Release.

Operations & Compliance Director

Angela Torpey Angela joined Timothy James & Partners in February 1998, having previously worked at NPI for 4 years. Angela uses her 18 years of experience in Financial Services to manage the operational and fiscal functions at TJP, including compliance, recruitment, people, processes and strategic planning.

Angela is the Operations Director and became a shareholder in July 2006.
ROBYN HARDING

Robyn Harding Robyn joined the Operations department in March 2010, after completing her post-graduate degree in Human Resource Management in South Africa.

She initially took on both operations and finance administrative responsibilities in order to better understand both the company and the finance industry. She now works alongside Angela Torpey overseeing IT, recruitment and the general day-to-day functions within Timothy James & Partners.

Head of Finance

Jason Larkman Jason joined Timothy James & Partners as part of our finance team in April 2009 after 12 years working for a Mortgage Adviser. He is head of finance and overseas all aspects of our financial information including budgets for Income and Cash Flow and Monthly Management Accounts. Jason is AAT qualified and currently studying towards his ACCA qualification.

Drew Harrison After graduating from Durham University in 2011 with a 2.1 in Philosophy, Politics and Economics, Drew started training towards the ACA qualification before moving to TJP and working in Finance and Operations. Drew is primarily focused on reporting, business improvement and audit.

Operations & Compliance

Ashwin Gopaul Ashwin joined Timothy James & Partners in August 2013, having previously worked in IT Managed Services, as F.D. for Fabric Technologies, a company for which Tim Whiting served as a Non-Exec Director.

Following the successful delivery of a 5-year business plan at Fabric to achieve agreed financial milestones through to acquisition by Advanced Computer Software Group, Ashwin joined the Operations Team at Timothy James & Partners to provide the additional resource to deliver the increased levels of compliance requirements and financial regulatory reporting within the Operations team.

Jenna Brassington Jenna started at Timothy James & Partners in September 2011. She studied Mathematics at Plymouth University, and has obtained the Advanced Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning whilst working at Timothy James & Partners. Jenna is currently a Finance Executive working alongside Jessica Ayres and Robert Guy, and has obtained Chartered status.

Lynne Chamberlain Lynne has been based on reception at Timothy James & Partners since December 2006.

Maynie Howard Maynie joined the reception team at Timothy James & Partners in December 2016. Maynie is one of the first points of contact for clients and she is also involved in numerous office management duties as well as assisting in the day-to-day running of the office.
VRINDA PENDRED
Finance Executive

VRINDA PENDRED Vrinda originally grew up in Arizona, but moved to England in 1999. She completed her degree at Brunel University, and found her way to Timothy James & Partners in February 2007, following 2 years working at AIG.

Vrinda holds the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning and the CII Certificate in Advanced Mortgage Advice, and is currently working towards Chartered status.

ROBERT CLACK Robert Clack joined Timothy James & Partners as a Finance Administrator in May 2012, following a move from an Independent Financial Adviser in Devon.

He graduated from Bournemouth University in 2008 with an Honours Degree in Business & Management, and holds the the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.

RORY WILKES Rory joined TJP in July 2016 having previously worked as an AV Installer across the UK. Rory graduated from University of the West of England with a BA in History in 2014. Currently working as an administrator in the mortgage department.

FIONA WALDRON Fiona joined Timothy James & Partners in October 2013, having had previous experience working for an IFA in Ireland. She graduated with an Honours Degree in Economics & Finance from University of Limerick in 2012.

Fiona provides technical support to Robert Guy and Jessica Ayres, whilst working towards gaining a Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.

CHRISTIAN TOMASZEWSKI Christian started at TJP in 2013 fresh from graduating from Nottingham University, reading Geography and Business. Christian has obtained his Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning whilst working at Timothy James & Partners and is currently working towards becoming Chartered. Christian currently works alongside Tim Whiting, Chris Waddell and Angela Jarvis.

CHRIS WADDELL After a brief spell as an officer in The Royal Marines, Chris commenced his financial career as a Stock Broker in the City Of London in the late 1980’s. Subsequent moves to Sheppards (now Investec), Brewin Dolphin, Charles Stanley and Bank Of Bermuda as a Private Client Investment Portfolio Manager eventually led to 15 years as a Director Wealth Manager with Coutts and Co. During his time there, Chris looked after a large number of successful and fascinating entrepreneurs/business owners, covering their banking, lending and wealth management advice needs.

Chris holds the Diploma in Financial Planning as well as the Chartered Institute for Securities Diploma and is a Chartered Wealth Manager. Outside of work Chris is a keen traveller, conservationist and charity campaigner. He is a Fellow of The Royal Geographical Society and is also passionate about rugby.

SINEAD NYE Sinéad joined Timothy James & Partners in April 2014 having 4 years’ experience within the financial services industry. She graduated from the University of Glamorgan in 2010 with an Honours Degree. She initially joined Timothy James & Partners as a Finance Administrator and moved over to Operations in April 2017. She now works alongside Angela Torpey and Robyn Harding overseeing system training, monitoring, IT queries and any other general day-to-day functions.

RACHAEL MOLYNEUX Rachael joined Timothy James & Partners just over  in April 2013 having started working in the Finance Industry on a Graduate Training Scheme at a pensions company in Nottingham. She subsequently moved to London where she worked for a small IFA firm specialising in retirement for 12 months before starting at TJP.

Rachael has attained the Diploma in regulated financial planning, she provides technical support for Philip Steer and Simon Hollyhomes.

SAM LUC Samantha joined Timothy James & Partners in 2010 having previously worked for another London IFA for two and a half years. She graduated from the University of Sussex with a BA degree in Economics and has always had a keen interest in finance.

She provides research and technical support to Chris Bryans and Paul Kippin, with whom she has worked throughout her time at Timothy James & Partners. She also acts as a mentor to the Finance Administrators and is involved in developing and implementing business strategy for the company.

She has obtained the Diploma in Financial Planning and holds the Certificate in Mortgage Advice. She is currently working towards achieving Chartered status.

EMILY PATERSON Emily joined Timothy James & Partners in September 2015 following a year working in management accounts for a healthcare PR firm. She graduated from the University of Exeter with a BA in Economics with Business Mandarin.

She has previously supported Anthony, Jessica and Angela Jarvis and is presently providing technical and administrative support to Chris Bryans and Paul, whilst working towards achieving her Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.

ADAM HOLT Adam joined Timothy James & Partners in February 2016 having previously worked in the property industry for two years. He graduated from the University of the West of England with a First Class Honours Degree in Economics.

Adam has attained the Diploma in regulated financial planning and is working towards the chartered status, he currently provides technical support for Philip Steer and David Stead.
EUAN BUCKLAND

EUAN BUCKLAND Euan joined Timothy James & Partners in March 2015, initially starting in our Operations team. After being with the team for a year he took an extended break to play rugby in New Zealand and travel around the country. Euan returned in September 2016 in a Finance Administrator role and he is currently studying towards the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.

Euan is an avid sportsman and has been involved in TJP’s football, mixed netball and softball teams and plays for Chobham Rugby club.

ELLYN KERSEY Ellyn joined Timothy James & Partners in April 2015, having previously worked at Chase de Vere in Bath. She graduated from Cardiff University in 2014 with a joint honours degree in Business & Finance. Ellyn presently supports Tim Whiting, Chris Waddell and Angela Jarvis as a Support Executive and is working towards achieving her Diploma in Financial Planning.

NICK FREER-SMITH Nick joined Timothy James & Partners in June 2016, having graduated from the University of Exeter with a degree in History, and completed the Diploma in Accounting & Finance at the London School of Economics. He currently supports Dawn Buckland and Anthony Fowler, and is working towards his Diploma in Financial Planning.

Stephanie graduated from the University of the West of England with a degree in Business & Marketing. Stephanie is a Support Executive, currently working for Andy Bracken and Robert Guy and is working towards her Diploma in Financial Planning.

TARA DARLINGTON-CRAMOND Tara joined Timothy James & Partners in April 2015 and is personal assistant to Founding Director Tim Whiting. Prior to this she has worked in both the arts and charity sectors, in Sussex and London. She studied Sociology at The University of the West of England.

ALEX WALFORD Alex joined TJP in January 2016 after graduating from the University of Southampton with a First Class Honours in Mathematics. He is currently working towards obtaining his Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.

ANIL RATTU Anil Joined Timothy James & Partners in June 2017 having previously worked for an Estate Agents specialising in private renting also working for Lloyds Banking group in the investment property sector.

Anil has a keen interest in property development, maintenance and renovations. He is currently working in the mortgage department and is studying towards his Certificate in Mortgage Advice.

ANNA MURPHY Anna joined Timothy James & Partners in January 2017. Since starting at Timothy James & Partners, she has worked closely with Chris Bryans and Paul Kippin, assisting with administration.

COLIN SLABY Colin joined Timothy James & Partners in 2017 and has been working in Financial Services since 2002 having graduated from the University of Hertfordshire. Over the years he has supported a number of advisers in providing independent financial advice to equity and salaried partners within the legal, accountancy and other professional sectors, at varying stages of their lives.

Colin has knowledge and experience in all aspects of financial planning including, investments, pensions, tax optimisation, protection and mortgages. He has attained a number of industry qualifications including holding the Chartered Financial Planner title and the Investment Management Certificate.

CONNOR MITCHELL Connor joined Timothy James & Partners in January 2018 having previously worked for two financial advisers. He graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a BA degree in International Finance and Banking in 2016. Connor currently supports Dawn and Anthony and is studying towards his Diploma in Financial Planning.

ELLIOTT HUDSON Elliott graduated with a Distinction* in an Extended Diploma in Business from The Henley College. He left college and decided to take his enthusiasm for work into the Financial world.

Elliott started his career at Timothy James & Partners where he began as a Database Administrator. From this role Elliott has developed his skills and knowledge of Financial services to a point where he has now branched off into a new role as a Compliance Administrator, working alongside operations, advisers and their teams. He has goals to complete his Financial planning exams. Elliott is also a keen sportsman who currently plays tennis tournaments regularly at a national level.

EMMA THOMAS Emma joined Timothy James & Partners in December 2017, having spent 2 years working in both Jakarta and Sydney for a Global Financial Advisory. Emma graduated from the University of the West of England with a BSc in Psychology.

Emma is a Financial Administrator, currently supporting Andy Bracken and Robert Clack, and is working towards her Diploma in Financial Planning.

HANNAH ROBERTS Hannah joined Timothy James & Partners in January 2018 having graduated from Edinburgh Napier University with a degree in Business Management with Financial Services. Hannah is a Financial Administrator working for Philip Steer and David Stead, and she is currently working towards her Financial Planning diploma

Mortgage Support Executive

HARRY TODMAN Harry joined Timothy James & Partners in August 2017, having previously worked as a Mortgage Broker in Surrey. Working in our Residential Finance at Timothy James & Partners as a Mortgage Support Executive, Harry provides help to our clients with their varying loan requirements, taking a particular interest in Foreign Income & Expatriate based lending.

Harry currently holds a level 3 Certificate in Mortgage Advice & Practice and is progressing towards achieving his Diploma.
JAMES GURNEY
Finance Administrator

JAMES GURNEY James joined Timothy James & Partners at the end of 2017 having previously worked around Australasia for 2 and a half years. Before that he has graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a 2:1 LLB (Hons) degree in Law.

Since starting at Timothy James & Partners he has been working closely with Chris Bryans and Paul Kippin, assisting with administration for the team. During his time with Timothy James & Partners he has been studying towards the Diploma in Financial Planning.

JESSAMINE REEDER Jessamine joined Timothy James & Partners in October 2017, having spent the previous 14 months working for a third party administrator in Chelmsford. She graduated from the University of York in July 2016 with a degree in History.

Jessamine currently supports Dawn Buckland and Anthony Fowler as a Finance Administrator and is working towards her Diploma in Financial Planning.

LIA MASTRACCI Lia joined Timothy James & Partners in January 2018 having worked at DST Financial Services in an administration role for over two years. She is a Finance Administrator supporting Christophe Beaupain and Simon Hollyhomes and is currently working towards her Diploma in Financial Planning.

Support Executive

LUCY HUCKLE Lucy joined Timothy James & Partners in October 2017 having previously worked at Charles Stanley & Co Ltd. She has gained a wealth of experience in her six years in the industry having completed her Diploma in Financial Planning and her Mortgage Advice qualification. Lucy is a Support Executive and currently supports Philip Steer and David Stead and is now working towards her Advanced Diploma.

SIYRA HUSSAIN Siyra joined Timothy James & Partners in May 2017 after working for Old Mutual Wealth for over a year. Siyra graduated from the University of Reading with a degree in Nutrition and Food Science. She now works alongside Chris Bryans and Paul Kippin as a Finance Administrator and is working towards her Diploma in Financial Planning.
